Some people are blessed with having a family that is %100 behind their pursuits. That wasn’t the case for me. In my culture the options were becoming a Doctor or Lawyer anything else didn’t make the cut.
Imagine the conversations I had when I said, I’m moving to London with no job to start a new chapter and by the way I’m turning down a promotion to do it. Thankfully my work ethic and understanding of being twice as good gained me a little trust but mediocrity was not an option.
Today, the results speak for themselves but the initial days were as difficult. Sometimes your family doesn't support you. Sometimes they will come around and sometimes they don't.
