Last year, for the inaugural Build Global Update, " The Battle is Over: Did Supplier Diversity Lose? " I laid out my forecast and position for why supplier diversity has lost and what we will see in supplier diversity in the next five years.

My Forecast 3: The industry will double down on Tier 1 suppliers due to the sustainability, legal and regulatory landscape.

That didn't take long. According to the Financial Times, PWC dropped its pledge to allocate 40% of its spend to minority suppliers. The reason? A response to the "shifting legal landscape".

I should change my LinkedIn bio to: If I told you so, was a person.

What do you think about these developments?
